King Boy

Muutimme reilu vuosi sitten uuteen taloomme. Talomme sijaitsee Kruununmaan kaupunginosassa ja leikkisästi aloimme kutsua pikkumiestä Kruununmaan kuninkaaksi. Kuukausien kuluessa kuningas itse väänsi nimen kuningaspojaksi ja alkoi vaatia asemaan sopivaa kruunua.

We moved into our new home a little over a year ago. The neighborhood where we live in is called Kruununmaa, Crown’s Land, and we started calling our boy the King of Crown’s Land. At some point he started calling himself the King Boy and said that he needed a crown.

Niinpä lähdettiin lankakauppaan. Kuningaspoika valitsi langan ja helmet ja vaati, että äiti aloittaa neulomisen nyt ja heti.

So off to a yarn store we went. The King Boy himself picked out the yarn and the beads and insisted that Mommy start knitting right away.

Minähän neuloin ja sitten kruunun huovutettiin.

So I knit and then we felted the crown.

Nämä helmet olivat Kuningaspojan mielestä ihan ykkösiä.

The King Boy loved the beads we found.

Kuningaspoika näytti mihin jalokivet laitetaan laitetaan, minä ompelin.

The King Boy decided where the jewels should go, and I sewed them on.

  1. Oh my, I have the biggest smile on my face. He certainly looks like a king to me!

Did he have a birthday? I seem to remember you saying something but I have been a little caught in baby-waiting these days. 🙂 If he did, happy birthday, King Boy! You have a queen for a mommy!
