Yellow Harvest

Valmistuneita on vaikka kuinka monta ja kuviakin olen ottanut, mutta blogia en saa päivitetyksi… katsotaan jos vaikka tästä ryhdistäytyisin!

I have several FOs and have even taken pictures of them, but somehow my blogging mojo has disappeared… I really need to shape up!

Isot, keskivartaloon sijoittuvat työt eivät ole kasvavan mahan ansiosta innostaneet, joten olen keskittynyt pikkujuttuihin. Tässä esittelyssä yksi.

Somehow my growing tummy has totally made me lose interest in knitting sweaters. Instead, it is accessories. Here is one finished pair.

Tekaisin tikrun mainiolla ohjeella lapasparin.

I knitted a pair of mittens. Thanks, tikru, for the lovely pattern!

Yellow Harvest

I started the mittens on a ferry to Sweden, realized that the chart was not in the magazine but had to be printed off the website and so I could not continue. At home I ran to the computer, printed the chart and knitted the mittens in the car on our way to Tahkovuori.

Kypsää kauraa!

Very ripe harvest!

Lapaspari tuli heti testatuksi Tahkon pakkasessa ja toimi hyvin.

It was rather cold up there and the mittens kept me nice and warm.

Sallalle erityiskiitos lankadiilauksesta!

Samalla reissulla Niilo kokeili ensimmäistä kertaa laskettelua. Katsokaas äidin isoa poikaa!

It was Niilo’s first time ever in the slopes. He is a natural!

In the slopes!

In the slopes!

  1. Oh, thank you for these photos. I remember when we were living in Stockholm, my son was 6 years old. We took him to the Alps at the Christmas holidays, where he learned to ski just like your son. Your pictures brought back some good memories for me. Now my son is 34 years old, and on January 23, he and his wife gave me a grandson. In just a few more years, this one will be on the ski slopes, I think! Where I live in Idaho, we have several ski resorts within one hour by car. Please come and visit!

  2. yummy mitts, I love that colourway and all that cabley goodness.
Niilo looks soooo cute on the slopes!!! I can’t believe you were up there too!
