Natural deodorant

I’ve been looking for a natural deodarant that really works and finally found it! This stuff is amazing and works wonders!

Christmas Wreath

It’s Nearly Christmas

Tuntuu, että minulla ei koskaan ole aikaa blogata. Lasten kanssa touhutessa menee päivät ihan huomaamatta ja iltaisin kun lapset menevät nukkumaan, en jaksa konetta enää avata. Mutta jospa tämä tahti tästä joskus kiihtyisi. Joulupukin toivelistalle kirjoitin, että Lassi voisi oppia nukkumaan vähän pidemmät päiväunet, nyt mennään tahdilla 3 x 30 minuuttia päivässä.

It feels like I never have time to blog. Time flies when you are playing with the kids and when they finally go to bed at night, I rarely feel like turning on the computer. I already wrote to Santa and wished for some longer naps for Lassi, he is currently taking three 30-minute naps a day.

We have some new birds decorating the windows! Niilo and I also made some for my grandma.

Tote Bags

Käytimme kumileimasimia ja tekstiiliväriä ja oli tosi kivaa! Samalla tekniikalla ajattelimme muuttaa muutaman tylsän t-paidan hauskemmaksi.

We used rubber stamps and fabric paint and had a blast! We are thinking that some plain t-shirts might just need some decorating…

Palm Sunday

Kuten tapanani on, tein Niilon virpomisasun taas todella ajoissa. Eli edellisenä yönä. Niilo ilmoitti jo hyvissä ajoin haluavansa olla kissa, joten kattimattihan hänestä sitten tehtiin.

In Finland, children dress up as withches on Palm Sunday. (Click here to learn about the Finnish Palm Sunday.) Niilo had already weeks ago decided that he wanted to be a cat, so I made a costume for him—the night before Palm Sunday, naturally. As you all know, I never do anything early if I can leave it at the last minute.

Olin ostanut ison poolopaidan halvalla ja sain siitä helposti kissa-asun. Leikkasin hihat ja helman lyhyemmäksi, hihojen ylijäämäpaloista tuli korvat myssyyn ja helmasta häntä paidan helmaan. Korvat ompelin kiinni mustaan kypärämyssyyn ja asua täydensi mustat sukkahousut ja hiirilapaset. Ei kun virpomaan!

I bought a super cheap oversized turtle neck which was easy to turn into a cat costume. I cut the sleeves and the hem. The extra pieces of sleeves were used for the cat ears and the extra piece of the hem was turned into a tail. I sewed the ears on a balaclava and the costume was completed with black tights and mouse mittens.

Niilosta tuli varsin suloinen kissa!
